Yesterday I was at Julia's concert (if you are Lebanese or Levantine you should know who Julia is) and at some moments I started video-recording some videos of the concert. After it has finished I started playing the videos I have recorded and the high resolution of the sound was really surprising even my friends (samsung S4, iPhone 5S and iPhone 5S again) have admitted thhe video sound resolution was of real quality and ended up getting a couple videos from me. I always knew BlackBerry 10 was superior in its sound abilities but didn't know it also included sound recording that's that good. Way to Go BlackBerry!

Many capabilities of the Q10 are underrated. Glad you've discovered this good one!

Not 100% sure if this is true or not, but just based on my knowledge of materials and physics, the fact that the Q10's bezel/frame is made out of stainless steel (that's where the holes to the microphone are) rather than plastic, I feel that might play a role in the sound transmission, since SS is hard while plastic is soft, it might absorb some of the sound waves as it travels through, muffling the sound. Either that or they simply record sound at a lower bitrate, lol.

The Q10 I hear as better speakers than the Z10 but the Z30 is even better than the Q10 and the Passport is even better than the Z30. I'm assuming that the Passport speakers will be even better than the Z30.
