I can't remember if I should format a new memory card before I transfer my files to it. Just picked up a new 8GB micro card and not sure how , or even if I need to format it before use. Any suggestions?
It's probably not necessary, but it never hurts to format a card before using it. Most of them come formatted, which means they can also come with preinstalled malware. Formatting them yourself eliminates that risk. Just install it in the BlackBerry and use the BlackBerry format command to format it.
