Any thoughts on the possibility? I know there was a super secure on created for German government. But what about for general public?

The market for a secure Android tablet is smaller than the one for a secure Android phone, so is is highly unlikely that someone would want to license the "special sauce" for a tablet.

And were that to happen, it'd still probably be a limited run limited availability tablet like the SecuSmart/Samsung pairing.

Well wouldn't have to be a secure tablet like the Secu/Smart what about essentially a DTEK50 in tablet form?

The tablet market is essentially the Surface and iPad duking it out; unless BlackBerry can pull off an ultra-cheap tablet to compete with the Chinese and the Kindle Fire HD 8 (sub $100 US, and with enough USPs to matter) then it won't matter.

Hmm so you're telling me not to hold out for new BlackBerry tablet, if I want a new one I should just get an android one. Unfortunate but I can see your point.

Even Android tablets are doubtful propositions; you may note that from your average "best Android tablet" roundup, the contenders are from 2014-15.

I strongly recommend an iPad as tablet (and a DroidBerry as main phone).
