Hey, I'm new to this site, but not to Blackberry, was just wondering if someone could help, i'm using a blackberry curve 8310 with the blackberry desktop manager on the Internet service, when i try to synchronize my information from Novell Groupwise the okay button is greyed out on the software, I have no idea why because on my previous device (7290) it worked fine.

Its me the newBee. Im having difficulty figuring out IF i need updates for my BB curve or Desk top manager. HOW on earth do I find out if there is an update??
I am new to blackberries but i'm not new to smart phones. tell me if i got this correct. the current version that most bb's have is 4.2 and there is a new 4.3 out, but as i see it, its only on verizon and sprint. well when i used to mod window smart phonts, such as the old cingular 8125 touch screen running wm5 i remember you could have any ROM or OS running on the phone. for instance the T-Mobile MDA is essentially the exact same phone as the Cingular 8125, but one is for t mobile and one was for cingular respectfully. When i had the Cingular 8125 phone i was using it unlocked on T-mobile, but didn't have hot spot and other T-Mobile propriatory apps because i was running the CINGULAR ROM or Cingular's version of the operating system. what i did was i reflashed the T-Mobile ROM erasing the Original Cingular ROM.
I believe that if you go to the the verizon site Software Updates in particular and type in a number (i typed in my number and was able to download the OS 4.3) and then install it on your non verizon blackberry you will have the OS4.3, but with apps and configurations for Verizon. Now the Radio on your tmobile or cingular bb is still GSM so i figure it might work, but i could be totally wrong, anyone want to try it and tell us what happens, but remember you may brick the phone.
oh wait even better i just realized that the pearl 8110 has the 4.3 os (BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.3.0.164) out already has it for cingular, that should then work perfect if you download the 4.3 os from cingular update site and install it on the curve or any other GSM phone.
