    Hi all,

I got a new SE Passport the other day and I love it. Biggest plus is the battery on this phone from what I have heard.

My older Classic never had the battery life expected, about 12 hours with heavy use.

I was wondering how I should deal with calibration of the battery for the first few charges? I already messed up and let the first charge go to 8%

Any other tips would be helpful.

    Thx

Ok here are a few tips dealing with lithium ion batteries :

    1. Try to NEVER go below 10-15%. The fewer times that happens, the better it is for your battery.
    2. If you are storing your device. Charge the battery to about 70-75% then store in a dry, cool place.
    3. There is NO memory effect on these batteries and NO need to fully discharge periodically. (this again is detrimental).
    4. High temperatures on Li ion batteries is bad. They suffer from stress when exposed to heat. Keeping a fully charged battery at high heat is bad.
    5. Many other tips and info about these batteries at: Basic to Advanced Battery Information from Battery University

p.s. With good battery usage and maintenance practices you should get between 300-500 cycles on your battery.

    Good Luck!
