    Off-topic but:

Do any of you guys know if it's possible to get a Blackberry Data plan in Germany or Austria on prepaid or on post paid without having to sign a stupid 24-month contract?

Yes, in Germany, get the O2O-contract from O2. The "contract" itself doesn't have any monthly fees and you can cancel it monthly.
The BB option is 5€ + a data plan 9€ (online ordering, in the shop 10€ I think) for 300 MB per month (after exceeding it, the speed gets decreased)

So for 14-15€/month you're able to use a BB without a 24-month contract.
(On the site pkcable postet are only some German prepaid provider...but with prepaid you're not able to get a BB-option in Germany)

In Austria all 4 Providers offer Blackberrys for non-bussiness solutions

    A1... 9800, 9700, 9520, 9105, 8520
    Orange, T-Mobile ... 9700, 8520
    drei ... 9700

the monthly fees are about 5-15€ for unlimited use, which is very high for Austria. It's sometimes possible to get the BlackBerry-Option without a 24-month contract, but just on plans with a 24-month contract.

So if you spend few month in Austria it will be impossible to get a prepaid or post paid contract.

    Go go germany!

Let a company provide it's services all over, after all, everyone deserves to have the freedom of choice when it comes to a smart/phone. I'm impressed.
