I was just wondering, if i have the "connection preference" as "mobile network only", can i use wifi to connect to the internet without being charged by tmo?

i know this sounds like an easy question, its just that when i open the browser (the default one the 8900 comes with) it starts with a screen that says "tmobile" and goes to the tmobile account page.

it also still says EDGE on the top when i look at it while online.

At anytime when using WiFi, T-Mobile cannot charge you.

When you want to browse the web in Browser, when you open it, press the BB/menu button > Options > General Options > Browser: Hotspot Browser > Press the BB/menu button > Save.

It's normal for it to still say EDGE when using WiFi.

Mine doesn't say EDGE when I'm using WiFi unless I don't have a WiFi signal. I'm pretty sure that if you have it set for network only you are not using WiFi at all but just the network. It should be WiFi preferred. And unless you have the T-Mo at home or Hotspot plan you will be charged minutes for calls you make even on WiFi.
