So I know I don't get great reception at work but with my old Blackberry I never had this problem, and I sometimes have this happen at my apartment, where I have great reception....
My signal in the top right corner will go down to 2 bars, which should be fine. But the 1XEV or even just 1x will disappear completely. It'll show up as just 1 or 2 bars and that's it. When that happens, I can't get on the internet or jivetalk or anything. I usually go into my manage network connections, see that it's on but yellow and turn the connections off and then back on so it goes green and my 1XEV comes back.
Does this happen to anyone else? Is this "normal"? It's annoying.

Same here at times - and I do the same thing.
I live in a bit of a dead zone, where it stays between 1 or 2 bars, and it comes and goes. Kind of a pain, but I recently learned AT&T is going to add a repeater close to me soon.
