So I just installed the latest update thru Snap on my Q10 on 10.2,1.2674 and it immediately stopped working. I closed, rebooted and same "Netflix has stopped" I didn't remember the build but it's noticeable feature is a white icon with Red letters. I immediately deleted the app and went to Amazon App store which still lists the previous version. Downloaded and worked perfect. So just a note to beware this update for now.

The zoom feature helps a lot. I use my playbook mostly but sometime I don't have it with me. Not the best, but I see a Passport in my future.

You are correct. New Netflix v3.6.0 does not play nice with 1:1 ratio devices. Works perfectly on the all-touches though.

I so want a Z30 but most of my time is spent typing long emails and while I've been told the Zed's kickass virtual keyboard is the best on the planet I just can't let go of the keys clicking away. Lol. Here's hoping I don't hate the Passport Keys?

I used to be a diehard physical keyboard guy. But frankly, my thumbs move too quickly for keys now.

On a similar note, after updating hbogo the other day it now requires Google services and won't run. For me at least.

So I just freaked out a bit. I updated it on my Z10 and it forced closed on log in.

I was like what the heck, however it opened fine the second time.

I probably would have tried the Z30 already but my awesome (joking) carrier Sprint only offers the Q10 and 9930. And because they are CDMA I can't buy one anywhere else I'm told. If I wasn't grandfathered in to a really good plan I would change carriers. My wish is someday BlackBerry will offer all versions of phones that work on specific networks to the public. I'd rather pay full price and have the phone I want.

I understand the love of the keyboards, but for me the Z30 is just far and away the best BB ever built. I have owned every touch screen BB and liked them all (hush storm haters...lol) but each one left me with a few "man this is great but it needs... or wish it could do...." not the Z30 does it all and does it well. You might miss the keyboard but would not be sorry you bought it, just my $.02

I do envy all you Z30 owners. It looks awesome and have only read great things about them. I gave up complaining to Sprint as all they say is Verizon is the exclusive carrier. we'll see what happens when the next 2 phones are released? My gut tells me they will sell the Classic and not the Passport which will really **** me off! That may be the Straw that breaks this camels back.

Will a unlocked version not work on your carriers network? Grab one from Canada? Just a thought.

From my understanding it will not work. The only Carriers that use cdma are Sprint and verizon, using different frequencies and even phones between the two carriers won't work on the other. The unlocked versions do not have the cdma installed at all.

Yes, this happened to my gf's Q10 running 10.2.1.2977, crashed and closed. We had to revert to the previous version. Thankfully, I tend to keep the previous apk files of a the android apps we use, just in case something like this happens (Candy Crush anyone?).

The new Netflix update does however work fine on my Z30 (10.2.1.537).

Do you think a future update will once again work on the Q10 or are we out of Netflix updates for this device (and the Q5)?

Loved the Q10 but now it's Z30 power time!!!

Honestly? I had a 9900 (and loved it), and had a Q10 for a time last year (loved the keyboard and Direct Actions), but I found I type faster on the Z30's virtual keyboard.

Now, the Passport does almost the same word-prediction thing, and may even do it better, but the virtual keyboard on the all-touch devices is better than a physical keyboard. Really.

Can only hope the next update addresses the 1:1 fix, assuming the next two BlackBerry devices are both Square screens and with the new Amazon - BlackBerry alliance I'm hoping they can help persuade the masses to help. Then again 10.3.1 may also fix the issue. Either way I'm sure these things will get worked out in time.

    I suspect you are right.
Passport will be the leper of the two.
Btw, i can't wait to try a Passport.
I see the passport being predominantly business, health care, and geek consumer purchases.
I also see an elite device that some will mock, and others, some proper recognition, props, for being a beast, and performer. The speced out Classic will reinforce that.
Keep putting out high performance phones, and BlackBerry will bounce back with phones. QNX is the ultimate quarterback for profitability.
Whoever decided to by them in 2010 decided BlackBerrys future. Chen is the man to capitalize on that backbone.
