Needing a bit of help(9900 White)
Hey Guys!
So I have had my 9900 for only a few days and noticed this the other night.
The phone runs perfect but it looks like the right side of the Track Pad seems raised and theres a tiny gap between the screen and pad.
Unlike other side thats flush.
Added a pic.
I took it back to Phones 4 U and they said it's normal and if I wanted to change it they would have to send it back to Blackberry to be sorted which can take 4-5 weeks!
How can they do this on a phone thats less than a week old?? Surely they have to replace it then and there?
Please help me out as I am worried I have a faulty phone or if this is actually how they are!?!
Re: Needing a bit of help(9900 White)
Phones don't get sent tk blackberry.
Carriers hire repair facilities which are authorized to repair a variety of devices.
Was it a brand new phone you bought? Does it have warranty?
I can tell you that the raised edge isn't normal, there are two little pieces of hard plastic ontop of the keyboard that slide under the screen when its reassembled. If they get worn out (I.e having the keyboard removed several time) it causes a lose connection and makes that edge stick up.
Re: Needing a bit of help(9900 White)
Most carriers have a return, policy.
For example, rogers says you can return a device and cancel a contract if it's within 15 days and has less than 30 mins call time. Must be returned in original condition.
That being said, what carrier is it and check your contract paper that you signed.

Do I have any rights to take it back for a replacement?
What do you mean?
You said you ttook a contract out for 24 months?
Where did you buy it and who is your carrier, if it's a private seller then you have too many issues to deal with. Those guys that sell phones in mall hallways usually sell refurbished devices that they buy cheap and fix.
But who did you buy it from anyways before we make assumptions

So did you sign any papers?
Re: Needing a bit of help(9900 White)
Yea but if you signed a paper it should have some details about returning it.
