I understand that the torch 9800 and the ipad are 2 completely differently devices that serve different purposes.

with that being said. I got the itch for a new toy as im sure everyone here from time to time has. I currently have the bold 9700 and 1 work lap top (personal HP laptop broke down)

im struggling if i should spend $650 on the torch when it comes to rogers (not eligible for upgrade) or if i should use that money and get me an ipad to mess around with. I've been waiting so long for the torch but now im just thinking do i wana spend $650 on a phone when my 9700 does the job and the new OS 6 will make it that much better eventually.

what would you do? and both is not an option :P

Hard decision to make to say the least. Can the iPad replace the laptop? If so go for that I would say.

ya, i already have my laptop from work to do things the ipad cant. i.e cd drive usb etc. but the work laptop is so outdated with the software im not able to upgrade it so its very boring.

as much as i want the torch i think the new os for my 9700 may keep me interested in the device for a lil while longer

i was considering the new ipod touch and i was really hoping it would have 3G capabilities. was disappointed yesterday when i found out it didn't
