Ummm this is not totally true... you can acutally switch phones very easily on verizon's website... so if you have a old berry you can actually log on to your vzw acct online and plug in the esn of your old phone and within mins youll have that phone active... and if you have an old phone (non berry - non smartphone) you can activate that aswell by following the same process except you will need to go to the vzw store and have them transfer numbers if you dont have then already on that phone... but it as simple and painless as switching a sim... (obviously not as simple since it involved more then just switching a card from one phone to another but it is possible and its very simple and quick...)i think they mean bc with att and tmobile, since you have sims you can switch out phones easily. At verizon, if you need to switch phones you have to call VZW and activate a whole new phone, and then sometimes this causes you to loose your insurance
and in regards to the insurance this will change the current phone active on your acct... however the moment you re-activate your berry it will change your insurance back to you berry... so you technically never "loose" your insurance you just change the phone that is currently insured... however once you mail it over to colorware it becomes there resposibility so it really shouldnt matter if its insured or not while under their posession...Last edited by RealEstatePro; 08-18-08 at 10:34 AM.
