Hey CrackBerry users,

I have noticed that many people are complaining about battery problems on their BlackBerry 10 devices (mostly Z10's) and I have found a cure. I have done some searching and tested some processes on my Z10 - I have hit success !

Very soon I will be posting a thread on how to increase your battery life.

My thread will not have the usual :

1) Switch of your Bluetooth and WiFi when not being used.
2) Reduce the brightness of your screen
3) blah blah...You can search for all the 'usual's' on YouTube.

I am trying to make the blog user friendly by adding pictures to it.

P.S I am a power BB 10 user and love to squeeze every bit from my Z10.

This one is definitely going to be helpful and different...I can assure you that...The thread will be a BB 10 users finally destination to fix their battery life.

I have always had fantastic battery life with my Z10 but that changed after 10.2.1 update. Its not so bad but not so great like before. I have never complained about battery when I was on 10.2. Hopefully BB will push an MR release and fix the battery leak.

The title of this thread is pretty misleading. It makes it sound as though a patch is going to be released. Rather than someone is going to suggest some battery saving tips.

My thoughts too. If anything I'm expecting some kind of hardware surgery stuff

I don't understand how he has tips we've never seen because the way you save battery is by changing the settings and most people have already optimised those depending on their preference?

To maximize battery life all that comes to mind:

-lower brightness to a little as possible
-lowest screen backlight time out
-use dark theme in all application possible
-try to use as dark of a wallpaper as possible that you like
-have the least amount of headless apps running
-don't have applications running in the background (minimize multitasking)
-turn off bluetooth, nfc, wifi when not needed
-use wifi over mobile data
-don't use LTE
-apps fetch for data as less frequently as possible

That's all that I can think of. Some are more extreme than others that I wont ever do. I'll never keep my wifi turned off, cause I always forget to turn it on and will use too much of my mobile data when i didn't want to.

Pretty sure everyone who is trying to preserve there battery as much as possible knows of all of these. There may be a few more, but I HIGHLY DOUBT there is some secret recipe the OP is talking of.

I'm not sure of your definition of this mythical "power user" but for Z10 users, excessive power use is precisely the problem. Your post provides the promise of a solution, much like a pitchman would on an early AM infomercial. Where shall I send my three easy payments?
