When I try and down load an app to my new bold it comes up with "The I.T. policy does not allow downloading third-party applications. I have spoken to them, they gave an excuse, Blah Blah. Is there a way around this that they will not know about, so I can then start downloading. I'm missing out on sooo much.
Many Thanks in advance to all you Crackberries out there.

Unfortunately there's no way around this. You're on BES, meaning your blackberry is attached to your company's system. Once there, they can control (and see) everything down to the chips inside. If they block downloading 3rd party apps, there's nothing you can do about it.

And I recommmend that you don't find a way around it. Your employer could
    fire you if you do.

    Yes. The options are:

    1. If it's a company provided device, follow their rules.
    2. If it's your personal device, get it removed from the BES.

If it's your device. get off the BES, get the apps you want, jump back on the BES.

Gotta love the..."Help me break my companies policies and risk getting fired" posts.

Why is it that people think their employer should let them do whatever they want with company equipment...sheesh.
