I have a curve but have not set up the blackberry internet package yet. i do have pay per use internet but cant download ringtones from my phone or send pic messages...shouldnt i be able to even w /out the blackberry internet package??

Are you able to use your Browser to view pages like Google?

If so, your data package is correctly configured.

You will still have a problems with third party applications that are looking for BIS infrastructure to initialize, nearly all on them.
