Just read that Windows Phone has passed by BlackBerry in unit sales and percentage of market. Now this does not shock me it does shed light on how few BlackBerry is selling. Someday we will have some good news.

My bad. I guess I gave MSNBC to much credit.

The comScore report showed 4.4% for BB vs. 3.1% for WP, but the Kantar report from a couple of weeks ago showed 1.1% for BB vs. 4.0% for WP for the same period (the three months ending in June). So it depends whose numbers you use. I suspect comScore may use a different metric for BB than Kantar, but I've no idea what that would be. What would be more interesting is to see these figures broken down by OS, i.e., BBOS/BB10 and WP8/WP7.

One measures user base marketshare and the other measures previous quarter sales marketshare.
