    Hi all,

I tried to get the Live messenger to work on my BB Curve (8310) through
    ww.blackberry.com/livemessenger
But I get the following error: HTTP Error 500: Internal Server Error

Is there any way I can get this installed?
My carrier is Vodafone NL (Netherlands)

    Thanks!

make sure the APN is set up under the TCP options for your carrier... I'm using the Live Msgr on my Curve w/o any problem...

I press download and get the Error 500...

Well I gave it another try yesterday.
I tried it on my Vista machine with Internet Explorer and got a little further.
I came to the screen where I need to fill in my Blackberry password but after that it stops again...
So no luck on installing WLM on my BB...

Go get one of the messengers like JiveTalk.

Second that about Jive Talk, a great program. Beejive : instant messaging, just about anywhere

I.M programs need service books from the carriers to work, If your carrier does not support it, it won't work...

I use Windows Live to use live messenger (aka msn messenger). It doesn't install any software on you device because it is browser based. Seems to work pretty good. I'm not sure but I think the page requires refreshing to show msgs sent to you. I've only used it once so far so I'm not quite familiar with its basic functions.

I think they disabled that link a while ago. If you search around you will see they are finalizing a new version of windows live messenger for blackberry. You will just have to wait if you dont want to use any of the 3rd party apps like jive talk.
