I just noticed that some movies are on sale, for a limited time, for $0.99 in BlackBerry World!! 12 Years a Slave and American Hustle (both Oscar winners) are included!! I know that 12 Years was going for $16.99, so quite a bargain!!!

And I've had huge problems downloading American Hustle. It hasn't worked yet, at least for the rental. Still, looking on the bright side, the last time BlackBerry World did this type of sale it worked out really well. Hope it works this time for those who have access to this sale.

This happened the last time with the sale on some titles. You won't have to buy it again, just wait a day or so, and you will be able to dl it.

I received the same error on American Hustle. The same thing happened to me when I purchased Iron Man 3 on sale. I was eventually able to download the movie, but not the same day I actually purchased it. Frustrating, but for a buck, can't complain too much!

I bought an app about five months ago that initially didn't download, so I asked for a refund within 30mins from BlackBerry World. Didn't get a response from them for nearly 6 weeks during which time the app I purchased actually downloaded and worked fine.

In short don't hold your breath for a response.

Bought 6 and HALF won't download. At Christmas I only had a couple that wouldn't DL and they did a couple days later. So strange. But I appreciate the sale & am willing to risk 99cents.

I received an email from BlackBerry announcing the "incredulous" sale price of ONLY CAD14.99. I will pass thank you. At that price I could see a movie at the theatre and have popcorn and a pop.

Technically at regular price you can't get a deal like that BUT on Cineplex Tuesdays, that's a whole different story. $7 for a ticket and still got $ left for snacks

No, the PlayBook's Video Store, although run by Rovi (which runs BBW's Videos), has a separate account login, different than from your BlackBerry ID. I've already tried to ask them to consolidate the two, but I don't think they get the idea. Maybe this should be something that Chen can put together, to unify the ecosystems.

And no, you can't play them on your computer. Further, I had three movies saved on a microSD that I put in a Q10, removed from a Z10, and it wouldn't play. I had to re-download them on the Q10 to play.

Don't know if these have the same short window....but the other movie sale had a short window you could download and activate movies in. So if you do anything that "deactivated" the copy protection... you may have the file, but no way to us it.

Think of these as long term rentals. Not something you will keep in your account for years.

Still great at $.99!
