We currently have box, dropbox and a special webDAV plugin which connects to the desktop, but it seems BlackBerry is finally adding a generic WebDAV plugin which will allow us to connect to any cloud platform supporting the standard and a few others.

Since MEGA has an Android client plus there's MEGA Mobile, another Android client that even streams I'm not sure how high it is on anyone's list... would be nice thoguh.

A generic WebDAV plugin would open the door to many clouds and if they added client encryption to that, they would have a world class backup feature baked into the OS.

How about iCloud, or wouldn't apple allow that, or is it something else why wouldn't be possible? Just asking, 'cause it would be a nice way to share music and photos. Files is a different thing, 'cause only mac office files seem to be supported.

    Have a nice day

    Finally! So happy right now!

Now the only thing missing is BlackBerry releasing their own cloud service.

They sold Newbay, their cloud service subsidiary, sometime ago:

RIM sells off NewBay for $55.5 million | CrackBerry.com

They currently have decent cloud service offerings for enterprises but not for consumers.

We have been looking into bringing native Mega support to the BB10 file manager. There are some issues with achieving this at present.

Same! I'm loving Sync.com! $50 for 500GB of encrypted data is amazing. I can't wait for their BB10 app.

Nah ... I'm looking for a true BlackBerry Protect integration for full device Backup, encrypted and Restore Service. Done over the air (LTE/HSPA/EDGE/WiFi), Fully self contained and restored to a new BB device via your BlackBerry ID.

    Done & Done, get'er BlackBerry get'er!!

I think the posted was referring to sync.com, a Canadian cloud service that has zero knowledge of what you store in their cloud and very competitive pricing.

Same!! I've been waiting for that feature since Day 1 of the BB10 launch. Although, I must say I've been making due without it. I use Google to sync my calendar, Fire Chest for my contacts, Noted (memopad app) has a backup feature.

I'm really hoping sync.com does come with a fully featured app. I've been in contact with them and they are looking into webDAV as well.

    *fingers crossed*

I have heard that Mega is working on a native BB10 version of their app. I will find the source article and post a link.
