I have verizon and have to pay 29.99 extra a month for my blackberry. Is there anyway to get around this?

not while you have your bb active, no.

you can always sell your bb, get a regualr phone and drop the blackberry plan..

If you are within your 30 days cancel service and go to TMobile. They sell BB phones and don't require a data plan. If you are pass the 30 days, plan the termination fee and go to TMobile.

you are getting unlimited data with great service on the best network... is it really that much of an issue?

You have an 8330 curve...if you cancel your plan you will not beable to use that device on tmobile. Verizon is cdma and Tmobile is gsm. With tmobile you can get a plan with email only for 9.99 add on and the unlimited data for 24.99. Just as well stay where your at unless your unhappy. Or you can do what Chrissy said.

Yea that is a good price. When I left Verizon it was 49.99 per month per device. Good thing Verizon pissed me off so bad after 12 years of service that I left and cut my bill in half.

I get a few dollars discount on my data package, which nowadays is good for a few gallons of gas or a few extra beers.

yeah, that's it. Cancel and go to T-Mobile with their superduper high speed Edge Network. Then you can pay more for the unlimited data & email at much slower speeds. Makes sense to me!
