I hae had people in the past send me MMS messages, only to have them lost forever. I never recieved them. Is it something with the phone or is there a setting that I can change? Oh, I have the 8830 World Phone for Verizon.

I was almost positive that the WE could still receive MMS, you just cannot send them.

According to phonescoop.com, some versions of the 8830 support MMS.

I just don't know the answer since I don't have an 8830. And I've never used one.

You should at least receive a message saying message could not be received if it was a memory issue. options/settings/MMS/Multimedia reception set to Always You can also go to
options/settings/smstext/network to send over, choose the the appropriate setting. If you have veriz you will choose GPRS.
Let me know if this works
