Hmmmm. I can't stand Windows. If they kept BB10 then maybe, however my guess is they would kill it off and be buying it for MDM/EMM. Microsoft has thrown a lot of money into Windows Mobile and hasn't moved the needle much so I don't thing they can make BlackBerry 10 successful. Sadly the only companies that I think could make Bb10 successful is Apple by replacing iOS with it and rebranding it iOS, and 2nd Samsung and their marketing (but hard to tell if devs and customers would work with Samsung leaving Android).

Maybe they realize they can save attorney's fees by writing off both Nokia/Windows Phone and BlackBerry in the same documents.

I saw this yesterday, but I don't hold much stock in it because it was only reported by that once source, and no one else has reported on it since then. If this was legit I'd think more sources would be reporting it.
Based on morning stock price movements today, no one is remotely convinced of this rumor.

Agree if you look at the source and the total lack of any indication of how they came by the info.... you pretty much have to ignore this one.
That said BlackBerry does have some value, and now that they are starting to license out their patents, it might get someone off the fences to make an offer before BlackBerry licensing all the value out of the patents.
Blackberry does have some good services and software that Microsoft could benefit by integrating into their systems, but I think Microsoft is focused on releasing Windows 10 at the moment.
