hey all. i just purchased a bb8900, but it wont read my memory card unless i format it, which would delete all the pix i have on there... i need help!!! what can i do to save my pictures?

Back them up on desktop manager and then reload them after you format.

Try copying the files to a computer. (You might need to get a card reader.) You can usually get a computer to recognize it even if the BlackBerry can't read it.

Then reformat it.

Can't you put your Berry in Mass Storage mode and drag the pictures off to your computer? Then reformat the card aand drag them back on?

Yes, you can do that. That's how I transferred all my data when I upped my media card.

thanx for all the help... unfortunately, it wont be necessary, as i have LOST my memory card... one minute it was in my phone, next thing i know it has disappeared... ***SIGH*** well, since i was unable to save my stuff to the pc anyway, i guess i'll just have to buy a new one :-(

Be sure to format the new one before you start saving things on it.
