Does anyone know how to delete a new bb messenger icon, i may have deleted a contact without first opening their message and now i cant delete the new bb message icon?

Did you try a battery pull?

I tried pulling the battery and doing a hard reset and its still there.

I'm not sure if this is your problem, but I had an issue where there was an indicator saying that I had a message but when I went into BBM, there were no new messages. I went into options and ignored contacts. I declined the contact and restarted the phone and it was gone. I hope this is your issue and that you can resolve it like I did.
