Hey peeps!
I have a big problem with my BlackBerry q10. It might not seem big to some people but for me it's huge. I'm a big user of the sms app but on my q10 I'm texting more on whatsapp because of a problem that I have. I don't know why but I'm always(most of the time) receiving twice the same message. Even if I reply to it, 30 secondes later I get a "new" message but it's really the first one sent. It's extremely annoying. I've had this for some time but now it's really getting on my nerves. Please help guys I want to save some of my data. Thankkss !
Are you or your friends on Verizon Wireless? I had this same problem randomly with my Bold 9930 when I was on Verizon, then when I left Verizon, I noticed it still happened with contacts who were still on Verizon. Just a thought.
If this happens to you you need to delete sms threads. This means there's a corrupt thread somewhere in the sms dB. Start with threads that don't matter.
OP> You might be able to ask your carrier what they can see. If the receive the message twice, then they must transmit it to you twice.
If they can see only one message has been transmitted to your device it seems like an BB10 problem. If that's the case you should test with 10.2.1.official to see if the problem remains.
Had this issue with messages from my daughter a few days ago..she has an iphone....she rebooted her phone... duplicate messages stopped. We're on the Bell network in Canada.....hopefully the solution is that simple for you.
