I have three e-mails accounts set up with my BlackBerry. In addition I have an icon called messages which shows all the messages from the three e-mail accounts and also shows notifications from all the social networking (facebook, myspace) and chatting software (MSN, GTalk, etc). I would like to change the setting so that the messages icon only shows the non email associated notifications. Is this possible?

message options, make sms/mms and emails separate. a new sms icon will appear where all sms/mms go.

all of your emails will still go into the message folder after you do that. it will just separate your sms from your emails in a different icon.

The Messages folder will always show all the emails to all email inboxes. That's by design and you cannot turn it off. You can separate the SMS messages as dictoresno described, but you cannot make the Messages folder non-email only.
