Running an 8830 on Verizon and my b'berry always has one "envelope" indicating one message, even if there are no voicemails or unread messages. If I do have one message, it says 2. Anyone know why?

It's more than likely just a little glitch..

Just do a battery pull & see if it goes away..

maybe you do have one, a missed call will show up in your messages. go to your messages icon and click on it and see if there is a new one in there. be sure to scroll through the whole things. this catches me sometimes because i have a seperate icon for sms/mms messages and never look at the regular messages box.

Yup go throught kmc's advice. If that doesn't work u have to wipe device and reload the os. Had to do that one a few weeks back

I just noticed that today too..........I 'cleared' my messages, and still saw a (3)............went back through the log, and figured that they were missed calls, etc.............

Do a battery pull. That should remove the icon...

that actually happened to me today while i was work. i pulled out the battery for a quick second, and than after it restarted, everything was back to normal

also look at your saved masage folder some time the like to hide
