    Hi,
    I just upgraded my T-Mobile 8310 device from OS 4.2 to 4.5.
Everything looks great except the media volume, when i play my music from the device speaker.

I tried playing with the audio Boost and the headset equalizer and nothing seem to bring back the same volume I had in OS 4.2.
Is it just me or someone else has notice it also.
I didnt see any thread regarding this issue.

Thanks in advance for you help.

you ought to read this thread. It would appear it was a problem for more than one person http://forums.crackberry.com/f52/new...anguage-55061/

    thanks for the quick response
I saw one comment regarding the volume issue on version 4.5.0.55.
Is there a fix for this problem or i need to downgrade to other version.
If so which version the sound volume is good?

If memory serves me right I think Garz found the volume level unacceptable and downgraded to a previous OS. I think some have now got .69, however not running it myself so can't comment whether the volume is any better

Yes this was a issue for me and many others on .55. I had no issues on either .52 or .69

I have the same problem running .55, there is a noticeable difference. Even my 8-year-old asked how come music isn't as loud as it used to be.

My wife said the same thing when she was watching King of the Hill on my BB. I would recommend .52 or .69 to avoid that issue. Just my opinion from my experiences.

Thanks Garz, might have to try the .69 as this is driving me crazy.

On the v4.5.0.52TIM Italy release for the 8300, I'm noticing the volume drop too. Hope the final ATT release fixes this when it's out. I miss my loud ringer!

This is about the media player volume. Not the ringtone volume.

OK, after testing a some versions and just for the record,
those are the version I installed where the volume is not good(weaker then OS 4.2):
    "8310M_PBr4.5.0_rel75_PL2.7.0.66_A4.5.0.52_TIM_Ita ly.exe"
    "8310M_PBr4[1].5.0_rel81_PL2.7.0.68_A4.5.0.55.exe"
    "8310M_PBr4[1].5.0_rel52_PL2.7.0.55_A4.5.0.37.exe"

"4.5.0.69.exe" was close but still weaker then 4.2.

I have 3 8310 and I compared the sound with the same MP# file on every device with the different OS.

The result are the same=OS 4.2 sound is louder and clear and better then 4.5.

    * hope someone at RIM will do some testing and bring back the volume to the same level.

I am running 4.5.0.55 (81) on my 8310 and the volume is a lot better .52 not as good as 4.2 but enough that I can have my phone on and it is louder watching videos or listening to music a lot easier!
