I downloaded it when it was free. But as of yet the developer has dodged questions about whether the app actually has any definitions, any threats that it actively looks for.

Actually, I previously had this when it was free. I thought it was ok. But when they moved to a paid app, things went sour. I was no longer able to update when it said that there was an update and the developer answer was uninstall and purchase it. I thought it was quite shady the way it was dealt with. When originally it was never stated that it was a trial. The developer even removed a lot of negative posts stating this issue. I'd suggest to save your money and just keep the phone clear of dodgy sideloads and websites.

Likely the answer is no definitions whatsoever for BlackBerry 10 malware, but some for Android depending on how dev approached it...

I wonder if he/she is trying to load all Android malware sigs or just ones ported to BlackBerry which is not secure enough at all really.

Besides, if you don't sideload, you really, really don't need this. I can't stress that enough.
