This is a feature I use almost every single day of my life. I don't think I could do business as well as I currently do without this feature. The reason I say this is because I will read a text, but if it is something I can't respond to at that time, I mark it unread so I know to get back to it later.

Well, my iPhone 5 using wife had an important text come in and she asked me to send her a text to remind her to reply to the important text later. I said "just mark it as unread" and she looked at me like I had two heads. So, I looked at her phone and realized the iPhone doesn't have this feature. I was beyond surprised and realized at that moment that if BlackBerry goes out of business, the Z10 may be the only phone I use for the next 10 years....

Yup. Much the same way one would flag an email. So it is always at your attention. It's those little things.

By the way, when I said "out of business" I meant purchased and sold for parts. There is no way BlackBerry should go out of business on their own. they could easily downsize to their pre-2008 levels and stay profitable while still maintaining a quality "prosumer" product.

I have the Q10 and can't figure out how to mark texts unread once I read them. Can anyone help?

To flag as unread go to the text hub where it shows the list if people that you text back and forth. Press and hold on the person you want to show as unread, the menu will pop up on the right. Choose the "mark as unread" option.

Hang on, I can mark a text/SMS as unread on my BlackBerry? Flipping Nora, nice.

I used to use the mark as unread for emails, but now I simply use flags and always wished I could do this with text/SMS. Rather interesting. I guess categories would be good, too.
