Any maps app that will let me see how to get from one point to another? Like the bing maps app on PlayBook. Not requiring point a being my location like it is on BlackBerry Maps.

Sideload Google Maps, you can use your location or input a different starting point.

You can do the same in BlackBerry Maps. I haven't discovered a shorter way, but if you start to navigate from your location to anywhere, you can then hit the plan route option. Then you can input anywhere else into the start and the end location.

I've just been playing around with my BB maps. The simplest way I found to get to where you can plan route is to open the app, long press anywhere on the screen. When the location box comes on, long press on it. The side menu will open and show the plan route option. Enter anywhere you want in the to and from fields, deleting the location already entered. Simple. 2 long presses and a tap, gets you where you need to be.

You could also get waze in BlackBerry World.
It is a port, but it works well
