It wouldn't happen easily on the BBM network. Assuming the Chinese government can't crack it and screw with the network.

BBM isn't really used in the Far East so it wouldn't help the protestors nor would it be a vector for infection. It does reinforce the idea that jailbreaking/rooting/installing apps from unknown sources is a security risk you have to be aware of.

They shut down wifi and cellular service in HK so BBM would be useless, but yeah before hand it would have been the best thing to use
