Not sure where to put this question, so I put it here... this is more a technical e-mail server kind of question, but read on and you'll see what I'm asking about.

So I only have one e-mail account pushing to my bb. Its a gmail account. I'm not using the GMail mobile app, not using the enhanced GMail plugin either. Just using the standard messages stuff that comes on the BB.

So far, everyone I send mail to from the bb gets the mail just fine. This also includes various yahoogroups I am on.

Now, there is one listserv that I'm on that keeps bouncing mail that comes from the bb... but not from gmail.

So that being said, I know that I'm subscribed, and I've had a little back and forth with the list owner trying to sort this out...

Here are headers from the message that I sent FROM the BB using my GMail address:

    Code:
    X-rim-org-msg-ref-id:1981958839
    Message-ID:<1981958839-1252294816-cardhu_decombobulator_blackberry.rim.net-841904356-@bda541.bisx.prod.on.blackberry>

This one is from the blackberry.
    Arrgh! Blasted from me CrackBarrrrry!
And here is the header from the bounce:

The offending thing seems to be the blackberry.com email address:

    [email protected] a.blackberry.com

It appears that when I send mail from the blackberry, BIS changes my email address to this long weird line.

SO, when the mail gets to the other end, it seems that the FROM or perhaps one other header, maybe X-Sender or something like that, is the long blackberry address, not [email protected]

The thing is, that blackberry.com email address changes every time a mail is sent, depending on what smtp server at blackberry.com ends up forwarding the mail out.

THAT seems to be the problem... and I have no idea who to talk to or even IF anything can be done.

Just FWIW, here are some headers from mail sent FROM the BB using the GMail address to my personal address (not GMail):

    Code:
    X-rim-org-msg-ref-id:934943001
    Message-ID:<934943001-1252293839-cardhu_decombobulator_blackberry.rim.net-2110216989-@bda541.bisx.prod.on.blackberry>

And here are headers from the first bounce I got:
