Strolling through a mall after work, admiring my newly deploy os on my z10, I look down into a Bell mobile booth cabinet to see a z30 placed optimally on the shelf.
First time seeing one real scale...


I call over to the teenaged Sales kid, annoying him away from his virtual text chat on a droid phone....do you have z30 in stock or just the dummy model? Sorry, not in stock. He goes on to say BlackBerry doesn't sell...he had z10 briefly, liked it a lot until he needed some Google app. I told him as if today's new os, loading Google apps direct is possible. He looked intrigued. Didn't know that. He thanked me for the info as I left....
Strange to be on my side of the booth making the sales pitch to the guy inside...

Haha awesome was just at Costco noticed the blackberry display was gone. So I asked the girl didn't really know. I said to bad the new os update came out today that allows android apps to be installed directly. She was like really. Does it work well. So I whipped out my zed10 and showed her snap and amazon. She had no clue

$649 for a z10? The phone is worth $250, tops. BTW, a lot of google apps require Google services, which can't be accessed by bb10. I can't use Google voice or left for example. Good though for telling the kid about 10.2.1

Just came from the mall, saw a Microsoft booth. Family was with me and they wanted to do some shopping at a store right in front the booth. I let them go to the store and I stayed by the booth. I was very intrigued to show off my Z10 and get a conversation going but they were playing some kind of game on the new Xbox. So I just looked the Nokia lumia 920 they had on display.

You never know? If BlackBerry works as hard as they did getting the 10.2.1 global roll out today, they may turn this around? Completely frustrating how sales reps have written off BlackBerry since the BB10 launch though . Going to be tough, but something is definitely changing for the better lately.

Typically the off-contract price of a new device from a carrier won't change from when the device was initially released, only the subsidized price will decline. (At least in the US)
