I noticed that my low battery indicator isn't really yellow. More green with a bit of red. Is this common? I'm able to get other colors like turquoise and purple when I'm using JiveTalk so I assume that yellow shouldn't be that hard.

    thanks

Green is the normal color that lights up when your battery is low.

The manual says amber though. Can any Curve 8320 owners confirm?

    thanks

Says the same thing in my manual, but the led is actually greenish. I don't think
there is a different led for different carriers.

Green is reserved for when your BlackBerry is turned off, connected to the charger, and completely charged. Low Battery light is supposed to be an amber or yellow, but I do not believe there is actually a yellow LED light... so it uses both red and green to produce a similar color.

Is there a way to turn the LED off while it's charging and off?

Yeh put it in bedside mode and that will turn off the LED light...if it doesnt then you need to go into options in the clock app...and scroll down to where it says...bedside mode and enable yes on disable led.

Mine is kinda a greenish yellow hue when its charging...not exactly yellow.

The phone has tiny Red, Green, and Blue LEDs, but no Amber. It achieves amber by mixing red and green. If I hold my Flip at arms length and off to the side, the indicator looks amber. If I look directly at the low battery indicator, I can see the separate red and green LEDs because the LEDs are about 1mm apart and the lens isn't frosted particularly well.
