I had so much trouble with the Storm I went to the Bold I love the Bold.
Problem is one of my family members was using my Storm, and broke the screen. Is there a way to replace this screen, it works other wise.

I'm almost positive there is a way to get a screen replacement. I'm not exactly sure how though.

BUT, if you have insurance you can get a new device shipped to you!

No they will not replace it or fix it. The warranty is gone and they are trying to force an upgrade. Tehy want money to replace the screen. Once the verizon warranty is gone them you got to deal with the other insurance you paid for and they say the deductible is now 100. That is a crock

I give Verizon a heck of alot of money every month for a family plan with 5 members. All I wanted was for them to replace the storm until October when the next upgrade is available. No...they just want to sell another phone or get money for repiar. Actually truth is I was told the Storm is toast. Ok then what do I do with 4 more months on my plan, go with out a phone?
I got a notion to get on FaceBook and plaster this out to the whole world how crappy they are doing us.

That's wrong. If you do have insurance, call asurion directly and they should send you a new phone within a day. And since the storm is not being produced anymore you should be able to get a Storm2 from them. You may need to pay $100 or something, but you will get that money back when you send back your old phone.

If that doesn't work and the insurance companu gives you problems, there is a way to buy a new screen and replace it yourself, but I don't know how to do that.

Ok this is a crackberry forum somewhere on here there should be someone who knows how to replace the screen, wouldnt u think?
I just need this phone to work for three more months and I can upgrade. I am perfectly willing to upgrade when its time.
I never have heard that if you use the insurance and pay for the repair at 100 then u get the money back when u return the old phone. I have NEVER heard that.

Ok got my answers. Yes the storms screen can be replaced. ccn shop has the screens. Also farther down the page is a video on how to replace the screen. Thanks very much ...we will try the screen replacement. I found this information on a thread here on another topic. So remember cnn shop then look for "digitizing " screen for the Storm and then scroll down to launch the video

Glad you got your answers, sory I didn't know how to replace it, but I know people here do!

And when my storm broke since I pay the $5 per month for insurance the insurance company (asurion for me and I'm on verizon) will give you a new device free of charge even if your current phone has nothing wrong with it... As long as you send them back your broken device,(and you can only get a certain number of replacements per year I believe).

It's not free. There is a deductible involved. For most smartphones it's $100.
I've never been charged... As I said, I've had to do it a couple of times before. Never had to pay a dime, they shipped the phone after asking over the phone and as long as I sent them back my old device I'm wasn't charged.
(GRANTED, I pay them $5 a month to insure the phone...) So, unless they aren't telling me that they are charging me, I've never had to give them $100...

I broke my storm and used asurion to replace it. I'm on Verizon and paid 7 bucks a month. I had to pay a 90 dollar deductible and return broken phone or would have been charged much more. The replacement storm was crap and than returned that one as a warrantied replacement free of charge. Also had to send that one back minus the. Charger, battery, and memory card.
