Bbm is secure, but apparently signal could be the most secure. What device are you using?

Okay, for the dtek you can download signal from the playstore. I'm not sure if signal is in BlackBerry world for your bb10 device ....

    Edit
There are quite a few threads re signal and other chat apps on the issue of security. Try the priv forum, for example.

I thought is was encrypted to BlackBerry's Servers, and from BlackBerry's servers, just not in the middle?

Sorry, you might be right. They are not end to end encrypted. BES provides full encryption though.

Signal is arguably one of the most secure chat apps. It can also be used as your default text messaging app.
It also lets you make encrypted phone calls.

Consumer BBM doesn't even offer end to end encryption. It may be good in other areas but in the security department it ranks low.
