Just curious as to longest length of time folks ran between battery pulls. I am thinking about 2 weeks for me.

Don't do a battery pull unless you have to, to clear some problem that a reset won't clear, like a non-responsive keyboard. For qwerty devices, that's Alt-R.Shft-Del. For Pearl's, SoftReset

Glad you clarified that it was a battery pull...was fixing to get out my stopwatch.

For me, I usually do a soft reset when I'm experiencing problems.

I use to do it once a week because I thought it was good for it. Since I heard differently I've not done one in 3 weeks. (I did cheat a few times since I heard)

If i see that my file free has dropped below 12,000,000 should I automatically do a soft reset on my Pearl?

That would be a good idea. I see from your sig that you've already optimized your memory. If you don't mind, post your file free after the reset. I'm curious to know how much it helps.

My file free after running soft reset with all the apps in my sig shows: 18,237,xxx. Before the OS upgrade (I was running 4.3.0.71) I would have 21mb+ after running soft reset.

Thanks, that's a useful reference point. I'm not familiar with a lot of your apps, so I don't know how big they are. I know the Pearl has to dedicate memory to the SureType database that qwerty models don't have.

I was going to contribute tonight, but Auto Power Off has made that nearly impossible, and I am not into pushing the envelope right now.

Fresh start, I have 24 Mb. Trivial amount of data, but nearly all the core apps still installed. After a week or so, it settles in at 15 Mb.

    Rock solid.

When it did act up last month, I took it into the storefront and the gal fixed it by re-seating the battery. Doh!

I never have to with my 8700c. I've optimized. Granted I've had it only for a month, it's 25mb.

Reed, Jayden, thanks for the feedback. I thought BBslim's memory sounded a little low even after his reset, but I'm not familiar with most of his apps.
