I would still contact BlackBerry Mobile to have them replace the microphone on your LE, as that is what warranties are for.

Assume you were out of the warranty period.... might would at least call support and see if they would fix it.

They should, as long as they can't prove there was water damage.

The LE has barely launched a year ago

I am out of warranty, don't worry guys thanks anyway. just ordered the Sony xperia 1. I still have my beloved passport as my second phone. The LE was never a phone I would say wow. I am still here don't worry :-)

So until now, to be able to be heard on phone calls you had to plug in headphones ?

I can understand not being excited about a midgrade phone... if the PKB wasn't a hard must have, the Xperia 1 sounds like a great phone.
