Has nyone updated their phone to the latest OS and smapped some low light photos? The change log says that low light photo quality is improved now. not shocking since Android and iOS seem to do this in software.

So, what's the deal? Anyone try this out yet? Pelase post some examples!

It looks a lot better. This is a great update before we get the 10.1

I can make a comparison with my 2 z10 on both OS builds later on the weekend. What would you like to see? I don't have any ideas at the moment

I have no particular thing I'd like to see. I'm mostly interested in low light smaples. Maybe go in a room that is dimly lit and start snapping away. From what I have read, we should see the difference.

it improved, not dramatically, but noticeable, especially the front facing cam. I tried out the rear one today in a really dim setting and it just barely edged over my friends nexus 4. still gets trashed by even a mere iphone4 though

It is not very noticeable in auto setting at all (so similar that without comparing you may trick yourself thinking there is a difference) but big difference in night setting, top is 261 bottom is 672 with both set to night setting.

Turn on night mode to see the massive improvement.

I have done the update. Can't say the improvement is for the better. Low light shots are still very noisy and grainy to my eyes.

I don't think much will change if your main complaint is about noise in night shots. It is not uncommon for many camera phones to struggle with noise in very low light. That's not the main idea behind this update because people complained about visibility and not noise.

RIM is still going to be trashed because auto setting is still very dark when you take pictures indoor. From the pictures above, RIM should have labelled it as "indoor setting" instead of night setting.

It's a bit better...but think my HTC Amaze still does a better job in low light conditions. Hopefully I get my Z10LE soon so that I can do a comparisong
