Thanks for the post Rob. That beats the best price I could find by $6.00. I'll let my friends know about this one, they need to upgrade!

I bought mine from Meritline and it was defective. I have to return it. I purchased a card reader when it didnt work in my curve. It still did not work. I popped in a SANDisk and it worked right in the curve.

I've found some cards at Cell Phone Shop for pretty cheap, as well as accessories and whatnot. A guy from work reccommended the site, and said everything he ordered had factory packaging and was shipped pretty quickly. Haven't done the research as to if they ship to Canada / internationally, but if they don't, I'd say maybe email and see if they'll make an exception...
I like the site that the OP put up, thanks for that *thumbs up*

Joe, bear in mind tha 16Gb cards are not far off. The price of 8Gb cards will then go thru' the floor. Also you need to consider the Class number of the card (2,4,6) since this defines the transfer speed. Class 2 is adequate for all BlackBerry functions but copy functions will got much faster with a Class 4 card. Obviously the higher the class, the more they cost.

Not all OS versions can access the full 16Gb and you need to check out my thread about microSD cards via the link in my signature.

Towards the end I have posted a document from SanDisk who have just drastically incerased the speeds of the SD (not microSD) cards. However microSD and microSDHC cards will not be far behind.

Just bought two. Free shipping is the way to go, cuz Newegg killz the deal sometimes with the s&h charges...Plus I had a $10 off coupon, so total was $28.

Thanks for the info Pete6, but I was just thanking the OP for the tip and letting my friends know about the deal. I am currently not in the market for an upgrade.

    All the best!

Got the same one 2 weeks ago for a few bucks more on Amazon. Works fine. I have 7.5 gigs of music on my pearl now.

Unfortunately, NewEgg's price went back up on this. I bought one last week, and wanted to get another.

No Worries, the prices on Memory keep plummeting, so it won't be long before we see more deals on the the 8GB and even on the 16GB chips.

Plus, the Noreve : Advanced Design Cases for Personal Technologies (Mobile Technologies flip top case I've got for my Bold 9000 has two pockets to hold extra chips, so having a place to store the extra chip(s) shouldn't be a problem.
