I want to be able to lock/unlock the keypad with OUT a password when I stick in my pocket for day to day use, but also have the phone lock with a password after like a few hours of inactivity (to protect in case I lose it).

yes you can do both just set a timeout for 60mins. But, what if you put your jacket down and someone gets to your BB before the 60min time out?
