(Posting this here because it feels like more of a general issue and the LE forum doesn't get a lot of views)

I just made the switch from the Classic to the Key2 LE. My SIM card has a few hundred contacts stored on it, but when I put it in the Key2, only 20 or 30 are displayed. I've tried going to Contacts > Import/Export but under "All contacts" it lists the same small subset.

There are many possible workarounds of course but it would be nice if this just worked as expected. Kind of strange...

SIM Contacts are very limited in what info they store... you are better off exporting them and importing them.

Or just use the BlackBerry Content Transfer App....

EXTREMELY limited - as in "name" and "phone number" only. The SIM contact standard was created in the early 90s - that's forever ago in tech terms and when storage was tiny and super expensive. It's a terrible way to store contacts in the 21st century.

Not to mention the character limit on contact names...
Figured it out - I switched carriers a while back and had only exported a few of the contacts to the new SIM. Definitely going to be using local storage / exporting from now on.
