I know that it may sound petty, but as soon as these features are available on the Z10 or Q10, then and ONLY then will I upgrade my phone.

Except for bedside mode with "phone only", or syncing with outlook, or the ability to set individual volumes for notifications within a sound profile, or create a new sound profile, or set which color you want the LED to flash for a particular notification type....

I'm still going to get a Z10, but my 9930 does all the above right now, not after the next OS update

google got us all dependent on there services BUT are slowly making it difficult for they're competition.

I stopped using google for most things except youtube and if I want to search news by date I have to use google and not bing (bing overall IMO is a better search)

not sure if itll work for everyone else but the app "player for youtube" works perfectly for me, it just doesnt let you play hd, full screen videos unless you pay for the pro version, just regular videos that have a small border around the edges.

You can also use Opera mini to play YouTube videos. I wish my work didn't use Gmail and google calendar but they do. Otherwise I would never use Google products. They got started with NSF funding...now they avoid paying taxes in the states by hiding their profits overseas. Don't be evil....yeah right.

Just tested out my old 9780 Bold via a wifi connection and it's working just fine...
...The 9930 is DOA for Youtube so my guess is that it's on the OS7 end.
...Something with Blackberry.

i can play youtube videos that are embedded into other sites just fine
just not from youtube

That's exactly what I'm waiting for also.... I may disregard the outlook sync, but I'd need BB Protect to work on the Z10 as far as remote backups in exchange.

I find these types of threads funny, as if BB didn't know about this issue as soon as it happened. On my BBM is someone who works for BB who does exactly this type of stuff, and that person knew about it right away.

Well now its working again. That's pretty weird how it was acting yesterday. I was surprised that this was true. Oh well. Google might have a stangelhold on everything but soon they will be more powerful than the gov and get shut down. Cheers
