Purchased a 7100i for Nextel. When I turned the phone on it came up with the error message: JVM Error 102, then under the message it says Reset. When I click restart it does the same thing. I called Nextel, and they advised that the code means the phone is now a brick. Any other thoughts on this, and is there a way to to a hard reset to see if that would clear it up.

    Thanks for any help.

You will need to reinstall the OS onto the device, assuming your desktop manager will detect the it when you connect it to your PC, their are many factors that could take place here, if you need further information feel free to email me, as the stuff can get rather lengthy, but I'll be glad to walk ya through some of it.

To fix your device, you need to wipe your device clean. Then reinstall your OS and your backed up data. Check here How do I wipe the BlackBerry using Jl Cmder? - BlackBerryFAQ for more information on the steps.
