I was looking over the top ten phones,
    10.HTC Touch Diamond
    9. HTC Touch Pro
    8. Palm Pre
    7. T-Mobile G1
    6. BlackBerry Storm
    5. BlackBerry Bold
    4. Apple iPhone 3G (8GB and 16GB versions)
    3. BlackBerry Pearl (81xx series but not the Pearl Flip)
    2. Apple iPhone 3GS (both 16GB and 32GB versions)
    1. BlackBerry Curve (83xx series and 8900)
The curve - number one selling phone in the 2nd quarter.... but the curve is composed of the 8300, 8310, 8320, 8330, the 8900 and now the 8520. (but we know the 8520 doesn't count for these numbers)

the pearl Number 3 selling phone in the 2nd quarter.... but the pearl is composed of the 8100, 8120, 8130....

Would that be like saying "toyota" is the number one selling phone in the car world.

but when you look at the iphone, they separate it in to two different groups.

so that is like saying Toyota sold more cars than the Malibu, and the Jetta...

well sure a whole line will sell more that one make....

just doesn't make since in my warped little mind.....

i want to know the number one phone model against phone model - not curve (means all of the 83xx)

I thought that list was bogus, too. The BB groups are too "general".

I agree that the 83xx and 89xx should not be counted together (we all get that they're totally different phones), but the list makes sense to me (mostly) as the IPhone still has a limited number of carriers, whereas the bberry is carried across most vendors. Also, the 83xx is still the enterprise berry of choice and that must count for a significant portion of sales. Being $49.99 on most carriers won't hurt itz consumer sales either...

The majority of new members sporting Curves are the 8330. I am sure that is the largest selling model, based on new member comments.

The largest selling competator, during that period? Hands down winner, the new Apple product.

How does the 8330 compare to the 3GS, raw numbers? If it was Apples way, it would be promoted all over the net. Close second is my guess.
