Hello I'm from Winnipeg, Manitoba and I just spoke to the best buy manager. You don't have to believe a word I say but if your interested, he told me they are releasing the new berries in a couple weeks. I asked the no contract price. He told me the new Bold off Contract is 599. He told me the new Torch 9860 (Full touch screen with no keyboard) is 650. I was personally interested in the 9860. Now I am totally turned off from the price. I swear they better be worth their prices but I'm not so sure anymore. Especially since tax is 12% here.

ya #2 was my thoughts, looks like the 9900 will be the more expensive of the 3.
as far as UK goes, play.com have the 9900 up for 520 and the 9860 up for 400 both off contract, although until they go on sale i wouldnt read too much into the prices.
I was kinda hoping the 9900 would be launching next week! I'll be in Winnipeg and even the 1% saved on sales tax would be nice!
plus I wanna play on it while I'm sitting in my hotel room avoiding paperwork!
as for the Pricing! that is pretty hard to swallow! RIM would not put a MSRP on it's latest attempt at capturing the all touch market substantially more than their flag ship form factor.
as Shao pointed out, I expect the Rogers Prices to be bang on, and Belus to be 10% more or so
and just so you know best buy is a retailer... they can ask 700 for it if they want... and i highly doubt that rogers or any carrier will be charging more then 599 for any of the devices... look at the history... there has been no BB released that was more then 599

I very much feel that my 9630 was more that $600 at release but I can't find how much I paid anywhere

When the 9800 was released here in the US, it was $650 at Best Buy.
My HD2 2years ago was over 5oo in the uk therefore if it translates it would mean that the new torch 9860 at 650 can $ it will cost 400 +20% tax = 480 now that's great
