Just a thought...... Verizon wants to charge me $499 for replacement.... I know that they are the only one carrying it (and they know it!).... should I go to Sprint or ATT and get the Z10??? It would save me a bunch of money and I can stick it to Verizon a little.... I never used the Z10 before..... How is it compared to the Z30?????

If it were me I would spend the $130 ish and DIY repair on your Z30. It is easy. I dropped my Z10 the first day I had it. Damn screen shattered, had it replaced and bought an i-blason protective cases. It may look like a brick but Im not losing another Blackberry...EVER.

Replacement screen around $150 shipped at home ... seems quite easy to do (easier than Z10).

Bought my Z10 replacement screen at etradesupply.com and they provided fast response and great delivery time. Received my parts after only 4 days of making payment. Just checked the website and the screen costs USD120 before shipping cost. Guess it'll be approximately USD150 after shipping. Quite an easy fix if you have the right tools.

I blame it on Crackberry... I was reading a thread that was called "naked or cased" and people were going back and forth saying they liked there phone naked or cased... I actually posted that I have otterbox defender cases on all my phones... but I decided to try going naked this weekend and by 1100 am I dropped it on its face and BOOM!!

oh my god ... the tears i would shed .... first for breaking it .. then from the beating my wife would give me ... lol (she bought me mine for xmas) ... this is another reason why i zip up my pocket and only pull my phone out when i am fully engaged with it ... so sorry for your loss my friend ... hopefully things will get better ....

Actually... I am paying for all the lines (except the Q5) ..... We have "extra" lines currently being unused on our account and I just play around with them.. So until we need them (or the contract expires) I have access to them.... But I only have one number that people call me on.

Man I feel your pain, happened to me a month ago. After two days with my old Torch 9800, I was dying. I ended up selling it on kijiji to someone who would fix it, and I bought a new one. The guy who bought it found a screen on ebay and had no problem replacing it he told me. I only had seen replacent screens on etradesupply.com but ebay seems to be much cheaper.
