    i own the blackberry 8700(g).

    the 8700(g) does not have wifi capability.

    im wondering if anyone knows if blackberry has made it possible for the
    8700(g) to go wifi by providing a download that may possibly be available.

    if anyone can give me answers, one way of the other, i wud be very appreciative.

    The answer is it can't be done with a software update because your BB doesn't have the hardware for WiFi.

    Yep xliderider is correct. It is a hardware issue not software. If you want wifi you could look into an 8320 curve. There are other models of course. Xx20 series.
