First question number one, does anyone know if they are going to still keep the alltel name alive or just become verizon, kinda like att did with cingular.
Second question, where i live now i dont get EVDO on my verizon phone but my wife gets it on her alltel phone. do you think if and when the merger takes place that i will be able to get evdo here?
Hmmm not too sure but i would assume they would keep the verizon name as its absorbing alltel... i would also hope the service on the verizon side would get better in your area after the takeover as they would have access to the alltel towers... but thats just an assumtion...and i am by no means up to date with this buyout...
By the end of the year verizon will take over alltel, this will mean all alltel towers will become vzw so your signal will be the same as hers, I work for vzw and we are being told this won't be completed until the end of the year...and yeah the name will switch to verizon wireless
